Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC)
Diamond is by far the hardest material known to man. Synthetic diamond or Polycrystalline Diamond commonly known as PDC is made by high temperature and pressure apparatus. When fused to a tungsten carbide or like substrate we refer to it as a Polycrystalline Diamond Compact or PDC.
This product is becoming very popular as an alternative to tungsten carbide for high speed machining of wood and other non-ferrous materials or cutting highly abrasive materials.
SS11 Series - PDC has a slotted junction plane. The diamond layer thickness between 1.2mm to 2.2mm.
SS111 Series - PDC adopts new net slotted junction plane, which removes the internal stress of the PDC more efficiently, meanwhile the diamond layer thickness increase in the range of 1.8mm to 2.5mm providing a significant increase in stability and wear life of PDC.
